Urban Apache Films

Northmen is a short historical drama film produced by Urban Apache Films. In the year 1005 England is in the grip of a terrible famine, suffering under an invasion by the Danish King Sweyn Forkbeard. When Winter sets in the Danes flee to their ships, leaving five of their warriors stranded behind enemy lines.

Northmen was part of the official selection for the 2010 Polar Film Festival in Finland, as well as the 2010 Cam*Era Film Festival in Cambridge.

Northmen was selected by the British Society of Cinematographers to be screened at their 'New Cinematographers Night 2010' at the National Film and Television School. The film was also one of three nominees for the Best Fiction award at the regional Royal Television Society awards in November 2010. (The award went to 'Greasepaint', another Urban Apache production.)
